Incorporate yoga into your exercise or healing routine for greater strength, flexibility, balance, and stress relief

It doesn’t matter your age of current physical shape;

Yoga is appropriate for every body and soul.

Every single posture can be modified and adapted to suit your needs. I will design for you a safe and well-balanced routine and I will work alongside you to make sure you get the benefits that each posture provides.

IS YOGA FOR YOU?

You are a sedentary person with a few extra pounds and limited mobility.

I will design a yoga practice to get you moving without risking an injury; then you will gradually build flexibility and range of motion, strength and balance, and you will start adding postures you never thought you would ever be doing. Yoga can help you control hypertension, reduce blood sugar and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, and boost your energy. Better yet, you will start revising your lifestyle, improving your diet, and relating to your body in a whole new way.

You are an athlete that trains daily for a high performance sport.

A marathon runner have different needs than a martial artist or boxer; a football player will benefit from a different set of poses than those appropriate for a cyclist. Build core strength, improve flexibility, enhance your focus… Whatever your sport, there’s a yoga sequence specifically beneficial for you.

You are a senior, and your doctor recommended you to start any form of exercise to tone your muscles and improve your balance.

Whether you are an active senior looking to improve your flexibility and balance, or you just retired after a whole life of sedentary habits, there’s a gentle yoga practice appropriate for you. I usually work in coordination with some of my client’s health professionals to design a practice that is safe and effective for each individual. Yoga can help you improve your functional mobility, coordination and posture, all essential aspects in our activities of daily living.

You are a stressed-out office worker who sits in front of a computer for hours a day.

Modern life has its advantages, but a sedentary lifestyle will sooner or later take a toll on your health and overall wellbeing. Let’s stretch and strengthen those numb muscles, improve your blood circulation, and bring some fresh oxygen to every cell in your body so you can perform your professional activities more efficiently, and feel invigorated at the end of the day. So, after 5pm, instead of heading straight to your couch and turn the TV, let’s get together and do some yoga.

You are a war veteran, farmer, cook, student, graphic designer, musician, merchant, house cleaner or medical doctor… Yes, yoga is for you.

Share with me your goals, concerns and special needs, and I will plan the yoga practice that will make you stronger, healthier, happier.

Stay present in… the present.

Your monkey-mind wanders endlessly, always revisiting the past or making plans for the future. You get distracted by the noise of a passing motorcycle, still upset about yesterday’s argument with your partner, preoccupied about the results of your medical tests, anxious about tomorrow’s trip to visit your daughter in New Jersey…

All these distractions consume your energy and drag you out of the only real time we have to live: the present. Yoga will help you stay focus on each moment, on the here and now. This, in turn, will help you to concentrate better when your full attention is required, and relax when it is time to do so.
